Jiyoon Koo (b. 1999, Seoul, South Korea) is a Korean artist based in Brooklyn, New York. She builds her own world through drawing and painting, exploring identity at the intersection of everyday fragments and imagination. What begins as a quiet personal narrative develops into questions within a global context. She received her BFA in Painting from Sejong University in 2023 and her MFA in Painting and Drawing from Pratt Institute, Brooklyn, in 2026. She has also contributed to community mural projects, taught children’s art for three years, and participated in a week-long residency program focused on local community engagement.
